PK & K Screening in Schools
Pendleton County Schools will be conducting routine vision, speech and hearing screenings on all preschool and kindergarten students. Developmental screenings will be conducted on preschool students only. In addition, any student receiving speech therapy, special education services, or who is new to the state of WV will receive a hearing screening this fall.
Playoffs Again the Goal at Pendleton County

WVCTM Teacher of the Year Awards
Two of Pendleton County's outstanding teachers were recognized at the annual WV Council of Teachers of Mathematics Conference in Flatwoods, WV on March 20th. Nominees are recognized for their evidence of exemplary mathematics teaching, professional certification, awards, publications, presentations, leadership, and other types of distinguished service to mathematics education. New WV Laws Affect Teens' Driving Status
New laws that recently were enacted by the West Virginia Legislature will affect how teens prepare, acquire, and maintain their driving status prior to the age of 18. Pendleton County Board of Education Policy S.6.19 - School Attendance and Satisfactory Academic Progress as Conditions of Licensing for Privilege of Operation of Motor Vehicle and West Virginia Code 17B-2-3 and 172-5 further explain the provisions in detail. Pendleton County Schools implement "SchoolMessenger"

Pendleton County Schools is partnering with SchoolMessenger to provide notification to parents via phone messaging of upcoming events, student attendance, tardiness, parental outreach, and emergency broadcasts.
