Early Registration Set For New County Students

Students new to Pendleton County Schools or home schooled students returning to school will have an opportunity to register in August at their respective new schools.

Registrations are as follows:

Franklin Elementary School - Wednesday, August 13, 9:00 A.M.-11:00 A.M.
Brandywine Elementary School - Wednesday, August 13, 1:00 P.M.-3:00 P.M.

North Fork Elementary School - Friday, August 15, 3:00 P.M. - 4:00 P.M.

The parent or legal guardian of the student should be present to sign the necessary forms. There are several documents needed at the time of registration. The student's certified birth certificate must be verified at school. This document must have a seal from the Office of Vital Statistics in the state or the country where the child was born. The school will make a Xerox copy and return the original to the parent/guardian.

Parents may call the Board of Education Office (358-2207) to obtain the necessary State Vital Statistics Office address. Direct questions to Debra Jackson.

Other information needed includes:
1. The student's social security number
2. Health insurance carrier and number
3. Immunization records; and
4. Any unofficial school transcript and/or report card from the previous school. It is important to bring the previous school's complete mailing address, as well.

All students in Pendleton County must have immunization records verified. The school health nurse will be at the registration, and she will review the child's records at the school.
