Congratulations to all of these students who won awards for various reasons! These prizes were earned for monthly perfect attendance, 1st semester perfect and faithful attendance, and also just being hardworking students. Once again, congratulations to all these students.
Parent/Teacher Conferences at BES have been rescheduled for Thursday, February 20th. Interim Reports will still come home today with students. Please contact your teacher or BES if you have any questions.

Anger Management for Youth is a free, interactive session where participants will
learn strategies to identify and cope with their anger in healthier ways. Parents
and caregivers are highly encouraged to attend with their child. This training is
designed for youth ages 10-17, though sessions are separated by age range:
elementary (8-12) and secondary (13-17).

BES is SO excited to announce that Communities In Schools is hosting another Book Bingo for BES students and their families only on March 13! Only the first 150 people to RSVP will be able to attend the event, so get those RSVP's back quick! We hope to see you there!
The WV Advisory Council for the Education of Exceptional Children (WVACEEC) is hosting a Virtual Resource on the evening of February 13, 2025, from 6-8 pm.
This event is free and is packed with helpful information for parents, families, and educators of exception children.

Shouting congratulations to our three students who participated in the County Science Fair last week at North Fork Elementary School. Each student earned 1st place in his or her category and will be traveling to the Regional Fair on February 6th. Way to go Bobcats! 🎉

Our students at BES had the amazing opportunity to listen to stories told by guest speaker, Adam Booth. 3-6 grade students were even able to participate in a story writing workshop taught by Adam as well!

🚨ATTENTION families of students participating in the County Science and Social Studies Fair: 🚨
*If there is a 2 hour delay tomorrow, we plan to still have the fair at NFES.
*If there is a 3 hour delay we will have to reschedule again.
*If there is a 2 hour delay, parents are still welcome to visit around 1:30pm. However, please understand if judging is not yet finished we will have to hold off on announcing winners until next week at the schools.
*If there is no delay, we will continue as originally planned and parents are welcome to come for the ceremony at 1pm.
*We will attempt to live stream the ceremony on the county Youtube channel.
Due to the impending weather forecast, the PBIS Jump Park Incentive Trip for Grades 3-6 tomorrow is being rescheduled. The rescheduled date for the trip will now be Thursday, January 30th. Please call the school with any questions.

Due to students not being back in school yet this week, the Social Studies and Science Fair previously scheduled for tomorrow, Thursday, January 9th at North Fork Elementary School has been moved to the snow date of Tuesday, January 14th.
At BES, sixth-grade students have undertaken an interactive learning experience centered on seed germination. By germinating their seeds and nurturing their own salad in the classroom hydroponic garden tower, they developed a deeper understanding of the process. This project was celebrated with a tasting party, where students relished a salad featuring their freshly harvested lettuce during lunchtime.
