Attention - Residents near Blue Gray Trail (from top of South Fork Mountain to Oak Flat) and Sweedlin Valley Road. Broadband deployment work is currently scheduled to begin in your area during the week of October 17. The Internet Service Provider, Shentel, will begin by completing route verifications and pole data collection on Friday, October 21. Residents should expect to see construction teams for both Shentel and NTD during that time. This field work is scheduled to be complete by Friday, November 4, 2022

This week is School Bus Safety Week! Our bus drivers have a large impact on our students' education and are often times the first person of contact each day. Please remember to always exercise caution and be alert
while sharing the roads with our buses.


Pumpkins with Poppas was an awesome event at BES this week! Thank you to all the “Poppas” who showed up to read with their kids and carve pumpkins, setting a positive example for all of our students. Our school community at BES continues to grow stronger because of you 💪📚🎃





A few more 1st and 2nd graders are needed to run the co-ed basketball league. Therefore we will take applications until noon on Friday, October 14. It is important that students looking to participate already have a physical and can start immediately.
This is a co-ed league that will finish up by Thanksgiving. Please contact Travis Heavner at 304-358-2207 ext. 127.

The WV Farm Bureau Mobile Ag Lab visited BES last week. Students participated in Science activities and experiments Monday through Friday. Our students thoroughly enjoyed themselves while learning about Agriculture. It was a fun week!





The Brandywine School Association (BSA) will meet this Thursday, October 13th at 5:00 in the BES library. Meetings will take place the rest of the year on the 2nd Thursday of each month at 5:00. All parents are welcome and encouraged to attend!

“Reading Matters” BES parent night was a success last week. The meal was delicious and the reading workshops were terrific! Thank you to parents, students, teachers, and BSA members for working together to make it a meaningful experience for our whole school community 📚😄
