
KA made their own Winter fun, today! We built snowmen, read a wintery story, wrote words in the snow, cozied up with a a book in the warming hut, ice skated our numbers, packed snow balls, squished snow slime, and ice fished to make addition problems!




Mr. Germ Bug visited the KB class, and they were in for a big surprise! His light spotted all those invisible germs on their hands. Miss Brooke Alt, the County Extension Agent, taught KB the importance of hand washing to keep those germs away.




Mrs. George's class enjoyed "Camping Out", roasting marshmallows by the fire, and doing reading and math in their tents on Friday, with flashlights, and blankets.

Communities In Schools presented 2nd grade class with gloves and toboggans that had been donated by the Upper Tract Volunteer Fire Department. Thanks so much for your kindness and generosity Upper Tract VFD!!!


Today's school counselor to be recognized is Ms. Kellee Waddell; she feels that this position gives her an opportunity to remind students how wonderful they are. Her role is to support each student to be the best "them" they can be and to develop social and emotional skills.


We've continued to stay busy at FES! Ms. Simmons' boys had their day out building forts! No girls allowed.
Our Social Studies Fair is also in the books and we would like to recognize all students who participated for their hard work!




Today's school counselor to be recognized is Ms. Victoria Rhodes who aspires to contribute positively to the school culture where students, families, and teachers feel seen, heard, and supported. Ms. Rhodes' advice is to never assume you what someone else is thinking.

KB had a recent visitor, Mrs. Brooke Hott, from the Health Department. We learned about healthy food choices for our body.



Today's school counselor to be recognized is Mr. Steven Barnett who provides academic, career, and social emotional support to all students so that they may successful in and out of the classroom. Mr. Barnett enjoys mentoring students and helping them grow into mature adults.

Today's school counselor to be recognized is Ms. Ali Judy who has been a school counselor for 9 years. Ms. Judy says that being a school counselor is rewarding because she gets to help students succeed and she has an opportunity to make a difference in young people's lives.
