Thursday, April 27, our FFA Chapter hosted the Annual Eastern Regional Scholastic Contests. Students from Grant, Hardy and Pendleton Counties participated in this year’s event. The event included both individual and team events. Individual events included freshman creed, extemporaneous speaking, prepared speech, and upper classman creed. The team event was parliamentary procedure, which includes six team members. The Eastern Region includes Grant, Hardy, Pendleton, Randolph, and Tucker Counties. Pendleton’s Parliamentary Procedure team placed 1st which included Kaylee Callison, Lydia Heavner, McKenna Hedrick, Gena Lambert, Alexandria Perry, and Makayla Tingler. Pendleton’s Extemporaneous Speaker- Lydia Heavner placed 1st. The winners will be going to compete at the State FFA Convention in July.
