Last Friday, students at PCMHS got a chance to 'get-a-life'. Our eighth, tenth and twelfth grade student participated in the 2023 Get-a-Life Program, which was sponsored by the school's CIS program and the WV Treasurer's Department.
The Get-a-Life program is a hands-on financial education experience that provides a real-life activity to help students understand living expenditures and to think about their future and the importance of education. During the program, students are given a card with a job title, family size, and monthly income. Students then have to buy a car, house, insurance, groceries, furniture, and gas to see how well they can budget their money. The Green Reaper also stops by and hands out "accident" cards, which are unplanned expenses.
