The Pendleton County Middle School Student of the Month for May 2024 is Chloe Kisamore. Chloe is in the 8th grade and is the daughter of Philip & Amy Kisamore of Riverton, WV. She participates in volleyball conditioning and enjoys reading. Chloe also received awards at regional levels for both the Science Fair and Math Field Day. Currently, Chloe is interested in a career in either psychology or law.
The Pendleton County High School Academic Student of the Month for May 2024 is Myra Mitchell. Myra is in the 12th grade and is the daughter of Benny and Dinah Mitchell. She is an active member of National Honor Society, Pep Club, and St. Paul Independent Lutheran Church. Myra is also the Salutatorian of the Class of 2024. She plans to attend West Virginia University and major in dental hygiene.
The Pendleton County High School James Huffman Responsible Student of the Month for May 2024 is Maggie Connor. Maggie is in the 12th grade and is the daughter of John and Michelle Connor. She is an active member of National Honor Society and is Vice President of Student Council. Maggie also participates in cheerleading and gymnastics. She has been on the Honor Roll every year, received MVP for Cheer, has won the Golden Horseshoe contest, and is a previous Young Writer’s winner. Maggie plans to attend Fairmont State University to study computer science and psychology.
