CIS hosted the Get-a-Life Simulation Game, offered by the WV State Treasurer's Office, on Oct. 11th for PCMHS 8th, 10th, and 12th grade students. The Get-a-Life program is a hands-on financial education experience that provides a real-life activity to help students understand living expenditures and to think about their future and the importance of education.
During the program, students were given a card with a job title, family size, and monthly income. Students then had to buy a car, house, insurance, groceries, furniture, and gas to see how well they could budget their money. The Green Reaper also stopped by and handed out "accident" cards, which are unplanned expenses.
A special thanks to our community volunteers who helped with this event for our students!
